This is my collection of genealogical articles, covering both paper trail and genetics. These have a particular focus on royal and other noble ancestry, due to this information being relatively easy to find. They mostly cover houses that I have confirmed or highly likely paper trail from. I do not profess to be an expert in the subject, especially not with regards to genetic genealogy. I am merely a hobbyist.
Families:
The British Isles, Scandinavia and Western Europe
The de Boteville/Botevyle/Thynne etc. family- a minor noble family of French origin who have produced several notable figures
Eastern Europe, Greece and the Balkans
The Caucasus, Middle East and Persia
The House of David- the descendants of King David. One of my major interests. Will include subpages on some of the more notable figures in time
The kings of pre-Islamic Persia- Another interest of mine
The Mamikonians- an Armenian royal dynasty which produced the legendary figure Vahan
The Bagratunis- another Armenian royal family which survives to this day in Georgia
Asia
Africa
The BLACK roots of the British royal family?!- Some theorise that the British royal family is descended from an Ethiopian princess who married into Byzantine royalty. NOTE: I am neither Afrocentrist nor Eurocentrist. I just find this possible link fascinating
